Subject:locating old ship mates

Looking for old ship mates that sailed from 1955 to 1965. I was on many of the ships. My first was the MS Texas Sun. Sailed A/B and quarter master.

Subject:Chester Sun

I have handwritten notes from my Grandfather, Fred Howard that indicate he was on the Chester Sun when it "pulled away from dock" on March 18, 1947, Entry for March 19, 1947 states,"went past Cape Hatteras about 10:30 pm", On this voyage got back to the "Hook" March 31, 1947 and then almost right away, went out again on the same ship. This was just some of the entries that were in his notes. Looks like he made 2 trips on the M.S, Chester Sun. Trying to get any into on these coastwise cruises, the ship and what happened to it, any crew logs, manifests, etc.
Appreciate any info I can get.
Thank you.

Subject:7th annual reunion

Tom Lamm did an excellent job of hosting this year's reunion. It was so nice to see former shipmates I had not seen at previous reunions. Needless to say we had all changed to the point I had no idea who a couple of the people were until I heard a name and started putting pieces together (I did not recognize Sherman, Denise, or Larry). Not to worry, they did not recognize me either. A great time was had by all I'm sure.

Subject:2016 Reunion

Several Sun Transport friends got together on Saturday, September 17th at the home of Tom Lamm in Joppa, Maryland. Tom worked very hard to prepare for this event and he really was the ultimate host. There were crabs, shrimp, grilled corn-on-the-cob and all sorts of casseroles, desserts and beverages to enjoy. All stories told were certified to be 100% accurate. A few took a kayak trip as Tom's home is right on the water. The weather cooperated and as the party wound down a beautiful Harvest Moon rose in the eastern sky. Look for pictures of the day to be posted soon. Thanks go to Tom for being willing to have this annual reunion and for sharing his home with us this time.
