Walter R. McKee nephew of Captain Wayne McKee, recently passed on Wednesday March 4, 2014 he sailed with Sun for a long time on Pennsy, Delaware, Philadelphia, Texas, America and probably other vessels I have forgotten as everything from messmen to steward. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday and Friday of this week. March 12 at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, MD 5:30pm -8pm and March 13 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Marcus Hook, PA 12:30pm - 2:30pm with burial at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA. I have known some of you from working at the Credit Union both in the refinery and in Aston. His passing was sudden at age 61, but he remained a "Sailor". He recently attended your reunions. Please assist me in honoring his memory, by sharing any Merchant Marine customs I may not be aware of. His he dearly missed.
